Homemade Vanilla
5–6 vanilla beans (grade B)
1 cup 80 proof vodka (or bourbon, brandy, or even rum) 
8 ounce bottle or jar with a tight seal

Split vanilla beans down the middle leaving one end attached.
Place in jar. 
Add Vodka
Place lid on jar secured tightly
Let rest 12 months
Strain and put in your glass vanilla bottle.
Don't throw the beans away, just add more and top with more vodka and continue your vanilla making for years to come.
